Facciamo il tiramisù, let’s make tiramisù.
Its name literally means “pick me up” or “cheer me up”, which feels rather fitting for one of Italy’s best-loved desserts.
This word search comes with a little extra challenge. The words beneath the first grid are in English, so you’ll need to work out their Italian translations before you can find them.

The dessert that's never missing 🥄
Whenever I go back to Sardinia to visit my family, my neighbour Maria Teresa always has a tiramisù waiting for us in the fridge. She makes it before we arrive, knowing we'll happily enjoy a portion (or two!) during our stay. It's one of those thoughtful gestures that makes you feel expected and welcomed before you've even unpacked your suitcase.
Maria Teresa's version has one little twist: she adds a splash of Marsala wine to the coffee before soaking the savoiardi. Everyone seems to have their own way of making tiramisù, even though the ingredients are almost always the same.
Then the comparisons begin. Were the savoiardi soaked for just the right amount of time? Did you use only the egg yolks, or the egg whites as well? Was the cocoa dusted over just before serving? Somehow every tiramisù tastes a little different, and everyone has their own little secret.
